I remember about 2 years ago I was chilling with my friends and we started talking about sexual harrassment and we were 16 in the room and all have faced it at young age at 10 or 12 . It had broke my heart but I'm proud of each and every girl who has faced this and still raising her voice , trying to live her life at best and making her own identity which was once captured by demons.
But after coming across many people during therapy sessions I've discovered that boys face these issues too. And then this society want them to keep quiet about it and project as a strong masculine. Well , boys , I can understand how toxic it can be.
Suddenly I realised how no one but our society is responsible for it , responsible to keep our mouth shut , keep all those tears to ourselves and somewhere across the line feel that pain all life long. For ages , feel uncomfortable when somebody touches you , for years , feeling to live in the bubble of protection or lonliness.
You blame genders? I blame society.
As recently we are facing the boy's locker room issue trending all over the internet aren't people blaming genders here and there? Did you came across single post with solution? You must have seen girls shading boys? You must have seen posts were relatives supporting those guys? But where is the solution?
Why nobody is saying there should be change in mindset , why nobody is saying sex education should be mandatory in schools , why nobody is saying that parenting style should be changed with the progress of society!!!! And why nobody is saying that we should have better and strict rules in the country?
Above this all trending issue , issue is when will this all stop? Why we face things this? Will it ever stop?
Will our daughters and sons too face harrassment at very young age and have issues with intimacy or expression?
Please I don't want it , I want we to create a society where girls and boys and gays can raise their voice! I want to live in the society where there is no gender discrimination , where no free bus traveling or no metro charges are given to woman rather I want to live in the society where she can raise her voice , where rules are strict for every citizen , where all genders and castes have right to study and express and right to love people they want and freedom to live their life on their terms.
I want to live in the society where boys don't get caught up in toxic masculinity and girls don't just sit at the home and cook.
I DON'T WANT FAVOURISM OF MY GENDER , I WANT EQUALITY.
